Cold DMs get ignored. A clear collab call does the opposite: the people who fit come to you. As of Oct 23, 2026 there were 38 open collab calls on CollabPls. Most were for video collabs, with others for custom content, livestreams and photo shoots. The ones that do best answer the obvious questions up front.
The five things every collab call needs
- Where. City, or "virtual" if it is a remote content swap.
- When. Exact dates, or a date range if you are flexible.
- What. Photo, video, livestream or custom content. Say it plainly.
- Terms. Paid, revenue split or straight content trade. Who covers the location.
- Who you want. Experience level, niche, and anything you require, like a linked X account.
A template you can copy
Title: [Content type] collab in [City], [Dates]
About me: One or two lines on your niche and audience.
The shoot: What we are making and roughly how long it takes.
Terms: Trade, split or rate. Who books the location.
Looking for: Who fits, and what you need to see before confirming.
Boundaries: Anything that is off the table.
Things that cut replies
- No dates. People skip calls they cannot plan around.
- Vague money. "Let's talk" reads as "probably unpaid".
- Walls of text. Most people read on their phone.
- No profile photo or links. Applicants want to vet you too.
After you post
- Share the link on X. Our guide to pitching a content swap on X has wording ideas.
- Reply to applicants quickly. Good partners book up.
- Vet before you confirm, using the collab safety checklist.
- Close the call once you have picked someone, so others are not left waiting.
